Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
This notice explains what information Animate On The Go collects when you visit animateonthego.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than boilerplate.
Information we collect
We collect very little, and we do not require an account to read anything here.
Information you give us
If you email us — to suggest a tool, report an error, or ask a question — we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our servers and analytics receive standard technical information when a page loads: IP address, browser type and version, operating system and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the time of the request. We use this in aggregate to understand which reviews are useful and to make sure the site works on the devices people actually use.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and we do not ask for payment details — we sell nothing directly.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the site.
- To understand aggregate traffic patterns so we can decide what to review next.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and technical problems, and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.
Affiliate links and third parties
This site contains affiliate links. When you click one, you leave animateonthego.com and arrive on a third party's site. From that moment, that third party's privacy policy governs what happens to your data, and we have no control over and no visibility into it beyond aggregate reporting of whether a referral converted. We never receive your payment details, your account credentials, or the contents of your account with any tool we review.
We would encourage you to read the privacy policy of any tool before you sign up for it — an animation app has access to your camera roll, and that is worth thirty seconds of attention.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected for. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form. Email correspondence is kept as long as it is relevant to an ongoing matter or a correction we have published, and deleted when it is not.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Residents of some jurisdictions also have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the request is honored as a matter of course.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law. We may need to ask for information to verify who you are before acting on a request. Exercising a right will never cost you anything or result in worse access to the site.
Security
The site is served over encrypted connections, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. Collecting as little as possible is our main safeguard.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with such information, contact us and we will delete it.
International visitors
The site is operated from, and its infrastructure and service providers may be located in, countries other than your own. If you access it from elsewhere, information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in those countries, where data protection law may differ from that of your jurisdiction. By using the site you understand that this transfer occurs.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the site changes or the law does. When we do, we revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be flagged prominently on the site rather than slipped in quietly. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised notice.
